I'm gearing up for the farm!!

These are some of the carrots and 

scallions from the farm! Yummy!

These are my new boots. I won't be wearing these pair on

the farm, but will find some similar to them. I got these on

clearance - normally $189 - I paid $40!!! Yay! I'm finally 

following my heart and being who I am. I also bought some

cute light-weight button up shirts to wear this summer on the 

farm, I only paid $5 each and they're brand new! I can't wait

to begin this journey and challenge!

Here's some pics of the farm. It was great talking with Tim and Claudia because they understand the Christian life - they are also believers! It seems like a great fit and I should be able to start working in March! I am so excited. It's also interesting because they said they've noticed a large group of Christian, young adults who are being called into farming and a simpler life. Claudia is also a doctor and hopes to retire and work full-time on the farm this year. What a blessing they have already been and will continue to be in my life and the community!

Today's the day!

Today Jetta and I go to the Berry Patch Farms to meet the owner's and discuss my mentorship program. The good part is that they offer room and board! My lease is up in June and I will begin working on the farm in May - I think. 

We go to the Farm at one today so I will post pictures and details later tonight!

I can't wait!

Berrypatch Farms

I have a meeting with the owners of the Berrypatch Farms in Brighton, CO on Monday, Jan 12th. I am going to inquire about a mentorship program that I'd like to participate in with them. I have always wanted some kind of farm of my own so I thought this would be a good way to learn and experience the work required to keep something like that up.

I'm hoping that by starting fresh on this site I can have a little more flexibility as to my layouts, ability to post pictures and videos, etc.
