The Colorado Half Marathon was a success!!

I am proud to say that I completed my first half-marathon (13.1 miles) yesterday! My two goals were to run the entire race and to make it in 2 hours and 30 mins. I was able to run all but one minute (in the 11th mile) and I completed the race in 2:12!!!!

It was such a beautiful run, the weather was perfect and the sportsmanship was fantastic! All 50 states, plus 6 countries were represented in the race! Fabulous!!!

I am so happy that I was able to run the entire race. Now I'll just continue training and try to run at least 10 half marathons in the next 5 years! :)

He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

Today was such a blessed Easter Sunday. Caleb and I got to spend time with both of our families and watch all of the little ones jump with excitement as they found their easter eggs filled with stuff. We spent the morning at church with his parents and then spent the afternoon with my family. It was so much fun and we were blessed with great weather.

I am honored that Christ died for my sins, rose on the cross, and is my Savior. He is my life blood and paid for all of my sins. I am free in Him and I desire to continue changing in the ways He wants me to in order to become the woman He's created me to be. As long as I live I choose to continue allowing Christ to change me.

I hope you all had a joyful Easter and most importantly, remembered His love for you and how He died on the cross to give you new life in Him.

New things for the year!

So far the beginning of 2010 has had many blessing in store!

- I begin my new position in the CPCU this coming Monday
- I have been steady in my training for the half-marathon and have no injuries! Yay!
- I have had time to clean my house once every other week and keep caught up on laundry, which is WAY more often than I was able to last year.
- I have been dedicated in my bible studies and am beginning the Nancy Lee DeMoss study called, Lies Women Believe! I am so excited for what the Lord has in store for me.
- I am looking to buy a new car and am content with something that is not more than $20,000!
- Caleb and I have grown in leaps and bounds since the holidays, we are so blessed with our relationship!
- As a bonus to my half-marathon training I've lost 3 inches in my waist and lost the "rolls" on my back too! Haha! I love it!
